Bayern Munich international watch: Brilliant day for Jamal Musiala

The 21-year old has seemingly taken his Ballon D'or non-nomination personally and used it as motivation by claiming a goal and a hat-trick of assists for Germany on Saturday.

On the third day of competitive games during this September international break, let's take a look at how Bayern Munich's international stars got on for their respective national teams.

Harry Kane, as always, captained England, playing 85 minutes in Lee Carsley's first game since taking over as interim manager from Gareth Southgate. The Bayern Munich number nine missed two presentable opportunities, but looked much sharper than he did at the Euros, and was getting into the right areas, as England won 2-0. Kane could earn his 100th cap for his country on Tuesday night as England host Finland in their second Nations League game, kick off 20:45 CEST.

Jamal Musiala gets goal and hat-trick of assists for Joshua Kimmich-led Germany

Joshua Kimmich and Jamal Musiala both started and played 90 minutes for Germany in their 5-0 home win against Hungary, with the former at right-back and the latter interchanging wings with Florian Wirtz.

The Bayern number 42 put his Ballon D'or nomination snub behind him and finished the game with one goal, three assists, and four big chances created in an absolute masterclass. His third assist was for Aleksandar Pavlović, who scored his first ever goal for the Germany national team.

Musiala also created seven chances, won nine ground duels, and made four tackles, in an incredible display. A goal and three assists for him, a goal for Pavlovic and a clean sheet for Kimmich made it the perfect night for all three Bayern players. Next up for the Bayern trio and Germany is a trip to neighbors the Netherlands on Tuesday night, where they could face former Bayern Munich trio Matthijs De Ligt, Ryan Gravenberch and Joshua Zirkzee. Kick-off is 20:45 CEST.

Alphonso Davies started and was the captain for Canada in their friendly against old foe USA, playing the whole 90 minutes, as the Canadians came away 2-1 victors. Next up for Davies and Canada is another friendly, this time against Mexico in the early hours of Tuesday morning, with kick off being 02:00 CEST.
