Bayern Munich will look to finish their transfer business in the next couple of weeks before the start of the Bundesliga. They are waiting for a final decision from Désiré Doué after submitting a second bid to Rennes for him. Bayern also remain in talks with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Jonathan Tah.

While the negotiations continue for two signings, Bayern also need to raise funds by selling players. Uli Hoeness has already warned Max Eberl and Christoph Freund that Bayern can make further signings if they sell players. The current squad needs trimming to make space for new arrivals.

Bayern reportedly had six senior players on their list of departures at the start of the summer. With one month left in the transfer window, these six players are still at the club. The Bavarian club will lose leverage in negotiations for departures with each passing day in the transfer window.

Max Eberl is aware of the importance of departures this summer. While talking to media on Sunday in South Korea (via Bild), Eberl warned clubs that Bayern would not sell players at discount prices irrespective of their squad-building situation.

"The topic of sales is not solely up to us, but also up to the other parties. Therefore, it's difficult for me to say whether something will happen in the next few days or only at the end of the month. Just because we said we have to sell doesn't mean that a club can get a player from us for a price that isn't justified for us."

Eberl and Bayern squad returned to Munich on Monday. They will hold talks with senior players who are not part of Kompany’s plans for next season and look to accelerate their departures in the coming days.

Bayern can get massive injection of cash from Manchester United

Manchester United have already boosted Bayern’s transfer budget by signing Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna. Bayern had inserted a sell-on clause while selling Zirkzee to Bologna in 2022. The Premier League side is also interested in signing Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt.

Bayern rejected a combined bid from Manchester United for Mazraoui and De Ligt last week. Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Red Devils will soon come up with an improved offer. He also reveals that Die Roten want €70 million for the two defenders. The sales of Mazraoui and De Ligt will help Bayern to move ahead with the deals for Doué and Tah.

Bryan Zaragoza is also closing on a loan exit from Bayern. The Spaniard has been heavily linked with Valencia, while Girona also have an interest in him. Die Roten are open to selling Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry in the attack.
