It has been a disappointing season for Kingsley Coman at Bayern Munich. The French winger has been troubled by injuries throughout the campaign, missing 21 games across all competitions due to five different injuries. His last injury was particularly brutal as he missed the crucial knockout games in the Champions League.

Coman was named in the French squad for the European championship last week. The French winger has been working hard at Sabner Strasser under the supervision of a fitness coach from the French national team to be fit for the Euros. However, he suffered another injury scare this week.

According to Bild, Coman fell on the ground at Sabner Strasse on Monday due to pain in his left knee. He had to abandon the training after this incident. It turned out to be a minor knock, as Coman was able to resume training on Tuesday. He is close to regaining complete fitness before France’s first game against Austria on June 18.

Coman will be able to get game practice before the first group game during the friendlies against Luxembourg and Canada at the start of June. The 27-year-old will hope to compensate for a disappointing campaign with Bayern by helping France to win the European Championship.

It is going to be a significant summer for Coman. Bayern are reportedly ready to listen to offers for him when the transfer window opens in June. The French forward is open to a new adventure in Spain or England if Die Roten receive an adequate offer. Manchester City have previously shown concrete interest in the French winger.

Raphael Guerreiro will miss Euros due to ankle injury

Raphael Guerreiro was not as fortunate as Coman to complete a recovery from an ankle injury before the Euros. The 30-year-old was not included in the Portuguese squad for the European Championship since he will not be fit in time for the start of the tournament. Guerreiro had suffered this injury before the second leg of the Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid earlier in May.

Guerreiro has shown his quality in glimpses for Bayern during his debut season in Bavaria. He has been unfortunate with injuries this season. Considering his versatility and tactical flexibility, Guerreiro will be an asset for the new coach.

Serge Gnabry also missed out on a place in the German squad for the Euros due to injury. The German forward suffered a hamstring injury during the second leg against Real Madrid. Meanwhile, Harry Kane will recover from a back injury and feature for England in the Euros. The English striker had missed Bayern’s last two Bundesliga games due to this injury.
