Manchester United are coming for a few Bayern Munich players this summer. This should come as no surprise, given that the Red Devils had the opportunity to face Die Rotten in this season's Champions League group stage, in which the English giants were outclassed completely. Bayern Munich set to hold contract talks with Manchester United-linked midfielder

According to 90min, Bayern Munich are set to open contract talks with the Manchester United-linked midfielder Joshua Kimmich. The Germany international has just shy of 18 months remaining on his Allianz Arena deal, meaning his future must be decided this summer, whether it entails stick with Bayern or switching to another club.

Kimmich has emerged into one of the greatest European midfielders since he first broke through in 2015, signing from RB Leipzig. Kimmich started off as a full-back, where he still plays the odd-game occasionally now. However, it goes without saying that his dictation of play and immense passing ability is best utilised in the holding midfield role.

Kimmich is 29 years old, so he isn't much younger than Man United's current options. However, it is believed that under the new ownership at Old Trafford, experience is valued since the club will undergo a period of transition - Hence the links to Kane, as well.

Last month, it was reported that Joshua Kimmich was considering a summer exit, after falling out with Thomas Tuchel. There is no denying that Kimmich is a club legend but it is understandable that he's looking for a move away given the uncertainty surrounding Bayern Munich currently. Of course, anything could happen between now and the end of the season.

Where do you envision Joshua Kimmich playing next season?
