Wantaway Bayern Munich full-back Noussair Mazraoui appears set to join West Ham United after the two clubs reached an agreement over a transfer fee in the region of 15.5 million euros plus four million euros in add-ons.
Bayern Munich had been keen to sell some players from their first-team squad. And it appears that they are now closing in on the sale of Noussair Mazraoui, with the right-back on his way to West Ham United. Manchester United were also interested in signing the 26 year old, but their Premier League rivals have now edged ahead in the race for his signature.
Noussair Mazraoui to reject Manchester United for West Ham?
According to Sky Sport, an agreement has been reached between Bayern and West Ham over the transfer of Mazraoui. Bayern will receive an initial fee of around 15.5 million euros, plus four million euros in bonus payments.
There is also a verbal agreement in place on personal terms between Mazraoui and West Ham. The deal is not done yet, but Manchester United will have to move quickly in order to ensure that they do not miss out on the signature of the right-back.
With Josip Stanišić, Sacha Boey, and Joshua Kimmich in their ranks, Bayern Munich are willing to sell Mazraoui this summer. The Morocco international made 55 appearances for the Bavarians during his two seasons with the club, but failed to make an impact on a consistent basis.
The impending sale of Mazraoui should help Bayern fund their squad overhaul. The Bavarians have their sights set on signing talented winger Désiré Doué from Rennes. Another midfielder could also arrive if the Bayern bosses are able to sell more players.
