Bayern Munich have lost their last three matches in all competitions. They are second in the Bundesliga, a whopping eight points behind the leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Furthermore, they are at a disadvantage heading into the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League against Lazio, being a goal down and Dayot Upamecano being suspended.

Thomas Tuchel is walking a thin tightrope. Although the club insist he will remain the manager for the foreseeable future, with every bad result, the tightrope is getting thinner. That said, here are 3 managers Bayern Munich have shortlisted to replace Thomas Tuchel...

3 managers Bayern Munich have shortlisted to replace Thomas Tuchel

1. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

According to Florian Plettenberg on X, Bayern Munich are considering the former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as a potential interim solution, should they fire Thomas Tuchel. The journalist reiterates, though, that the plan for the Bavarian side is to stick with Thomas Tuchel until the end of the season.

Solskjaer has been without a managerial job since parting ways with Manchester United in 2021, after finishing second in the Europa League.

2. Xabi Alonso

Bayern Strikes reported recently that Bayern Munich would eye Xabi Alonso of Bayer Leverkusen. He is a young manager who is bringing a fresh approach to the Bundesliga. As the only team who top Bayern Munich currently, it would be difficult to persuade Xabi Alonso, but it is a possibility since he is a club legend.

Bayern Munich will face competition from Liverpool, who would also like to bring him back to Anfield for their vacant managerial role.

3. Zinedine Zidane

Also reported by Florian Plettenberg on X, Bayern Munich would consider bringing in Zinedine Zidane. While nothing is concrete, it is thought that Zidane's experience and the fact he would be available immediately are two big pull factors for Bayern Munich.
