The weekend saw Harry Kane garner a lot of praise from German and English media. The English forward scored his 100th goal for Bayern against Werder Bremen. He became the fastest player to score 100 goals for one club in Europe’s top five leagues in the 21st century.

Kane has managed to reach the century mark in just 104 games. The 32-year-old forward has been a sensational signing for Bayern. He has managed to achieve this feat in just over two seasons. Even though Die Roten lost the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen in the 2023/24 campaign, Kane satisfied his end of the bargain by scoring goals.

The English forward eventually got a reward for his goalscoring exploits in the second season as Die Roten regained the Bundesliga title. He has started the third season in the best possible manner, scoring 15 goals in just eight games across all competitions.

Kane’s amazing feat has been recognised by former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney. While talking to Rio Ferdinand on his YouTube channel, Rooney admitted that Kane is probably the best striker produced by England.

"Kane is the best English number nine of all time. He scored I don't know how many goals for Bayern last season. He's a goalscorer, he's determined, he's clever in terms of the positions he plays."

Harry Kane had overtaken Rooney as England’s leading goalscorer a few years ago. The English forward may end up scoring 100 goals for England if he remains fit for the next three to four years.

Bayern Munich may offer a new deal to Harry Kane

Considering Kane’s impeccable fitness and goalscoring prowess, there is a good chance he can keep playing for Bayern until 35-36. The former Spurs forward still has several years at the top level, as he has shown no signs of slowing down.

Kane’s ability to drop deep and dictate play makes him an incredible asset for any team. Despite linking up play by dropping deep, Kane’s prolific nature in the box has not diminished. He currently has a contract until 2028. The Bavarian club can certainly offer him a deal to stay beyond 2028 and give him the opportunity to keep adding silverware to his cabinet.

Despite reports linking him with a move back to the Premier League, Kane remains determined to stay in Munich and hopes to score 100 more goals for the club. The English forward will be hoping to guide Bayern to a Champions League title this season. Along with regaining the Bundesliga title, Die Roten are aiming to do better in the cup competitions- Champions League and DFB Pokal.
