Bayern Munich continued their unbeaten start to the season on Friday with a 4-0 win against Werder Bremen. The Bavarian club is yet to drop a point in the Bundesliga after five games. Harry Kane was the star man for Bayern on Friday as he grabbed a brace.

In the process of scoring a brace, Kane reached the milestone of 100 goals for Bayern. The English forward became the fastest to score 100 goals for a club in the top five leagues in the 21st century. Kane managed to score 100 goals in 104 games, surpassing the records of Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo, both of whom had achieved this feat in 105 games.

It is a remarkable achievement considering the number of eyebrows that were raised two years ago when Bayern had paid close to €100 million for Kane. The English forward has been a phenomenal signing, scoring consistently at the top level. The 32-year-old striker has already scored 13 goals in eight games for Die Roten this season. He is on track to score in excess of 50 goals for yet another season.

Apart from scoring goals, Kane’s work rate in and out of possession makes him one of the best strikers in the world. He can drop deep and spray difficult passes to find teammates in the final third. He is as good a creator as any number ten across the top five leagues in Europe.

Bayern and the Bavarian faithful will hope Kane continues his prolific goalscoring form and help the team to lift all trophies this season. He is showing no signs of decline, and his fitness record continues to improve with each passing season. There is a good chance Bayern will look to have Kane as part of their team for several years.

Midfield duo reach Bundesliga milestone against Werder Bremen

Apart from Kane, the win against Werder Bremen also marked special milestones for Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka. The German midfield duo made their 300th Bundesliga appearance on Friday.

Goretzka had started the game in the center of the park alongside Tom Bischof, while Kimmich came on in the second half for the last 30 minutes of the game. Both midfielders have been the spine of Bayern’s success in the last seven to eight years. With their quality, there is a likelihood of adding 100 more Bundesliga appearances for Die Roten if they continue their good run of form.
