However, the German winger became a key player for Vincent Kompany during the second half of the season. He enjoyed his best campaign in terms of goals scored under the Belgian coach. Joshua Kimmich urges Leroy Sane to stay at Bayern
The dressing room is also eager to see Sane stay at Bayern beyond this season. While talking to Sky Sports on Saturday, Joshua Kimmich admitted that he has advised Sane to sign a new deal. Kimmich further insisted that the sporting project at Die Roten is one of the best in the world.
Earlier this year, Kimmich committed his future to Bayern by signing a new long-term deal. The German midfielder was also in a familiar situation like Sane. Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain were interested in signing Kimmich on a free transfer, but he eventually decided to stay in Munich.
Sane has been one of the standout players for Bayern during the second half of the season. The Bavarian faithful would like to see him spend the rest of his peak at Bayern. However, Die Roten are well within their rights to remain firm on the contract offer since they need to balance the books to make space for new signings in the summer.
