Bayern Munich have endured a difficult start to the summer transfer window when it comes to strengthening the attack. After missing out on Florian Wirtz, Bayern also face the risk of losing the race for Nico Williams. The Spaniard is tilting towards a move to FC Barcelona.

The Bundesliga champions also wanted to extend the contract of Leroy Sane. However, the German winger has rejected their offer and agreed to join Galatasaray on a free transfer after June 30. With Thomas Muller and Sane leaving this summer, it does look like Bayern may have to keep Kingsley Coman and sign at least one top-quality winger.

Coman was reportedly open to leaving Munich this summer. Bayern were also ready to listen to offers for the French international. However, it does look like Coman is in no rush to leave Bavaria.

While talking to the media this week (via AZ), Kingsley Coman insisted that he is happy at Bayern and wants to stay at the club. The French winger also revealed that no one from the club has told him to look for a transfer this summer.

"I want to stay. I have two years left on my contract, that's simple. You have a contract and you feel comfortable, then you want to stay. But there are many things so you can never know at 100%."

The French international found himself in a similar position last summer. Bayern were ready to sell, and there was significant interest from Turkey and Saudi Arabia. Coman eventually decided to stay and continue playing for Bayern.

Coman has been in fine form at the Club World Cup. He started in both league games and chipped in with goals and assists. There are no doubts about the quality of the French winger, but his persistent problems with injuries have not allowed him to play regularly,

With Sane leaving in the summer, Coman has the chance of getting more game time. Moreover, his experience is also crucial as he has more than often stepped up for Die Roten whenever the team needed him the most.

Bayern need one quality winger this summer

Even though Coman is staying, Bayern need one more quality player on the left flank. They should ideally look for a complete package like Michael Olise. Nico Williams fits the bill but Die Roten will have to convince him to reject Barcelona and join them.

Nevertheless, it is paramount for Bayern to get at least one forward in the squad before the start of the pre-season. Max Eberl returned to Germany last week for transfer business. The Bavarian faithful will hope that Eberl can get the deal over the line for a top-quality winger in the coming days.
