It has been a good last few days for Bayern Munich. They clinched a convincing win against Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga last weekend. Vincent Kompany’s men backed up this performance with a professional 2-0 win against RB Leipzig in the DFB Pokal quarter-finals on Wednesday. Bayern will look to round up a productive seven days with a win against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
Apart from a couple of poor results, Bayern have largely been solid in the Bundesliga since the start of 2026. With Borussia Dortmund winning on Friday, Die Roten need to get a victory against Werder Bremen to preserve their lead of six points at the top of the points table.
Meanwhile, Werder Bremen are facing a struggle in the relegation zone. They are currently 16th in the points table behind Wolfsburg due to inferior goal difference. Bremen have struggled at home, losing three of their last five games. They are currently winless in their last five Bundesliga games. It will be a tall ask for them to get a positive result on Saturday.

The Belgian coach may look to rotate a bit on Saturday to ensure players are fresh during the next few weeks as games are coming thick and fast across all competitions.
Predicted Starting XI
There will be no changes in the goal despite the fact that Manuel Neuer played against RB Leipzig on Wednesday. Jonas Urbig will have to wait for the next appearance, as Kompany confirmed on Friday that Neuer will start in the goal.
The Belgian coach may make a few changes in the back four that started against Leipzig. Konrad Laimer will start in the right-back position instead of Josip Stanisic. Alphonso Davies will continue in the left-back position. Jonathan Tah may get a rest on Saturday. Kim Min-jae will play alongside Dayot Upamecano in the heart of defense.
Aleksandar Pavlovic has been consistently starting games for Bayern this season. He may get a rest on Saturday. Leon Gortezka has lately struggled for game time, but the game against Werder Bremen could be an opportunity for him to play alongside Joshua Kimmich in the center of the park.
Serge Gnabry will replace Michael Olise on the right flank on Saturday. Harry Kane will lead the attack with Jamal Musiala playing behind him in the number ten role. Luis Diaz is expected to start on the left flank.
Predicted Starting XI: Neuer; Davies, Kim Min-jae, Upamecano, Laimer; Kimmich, Goretzka; Diaz, Musiala, Gnabry; Kane
Score Prediction
Werder Bremen 0-4 Bayern Munich
Even though Bayern have won only one of their last three league games, they are heavy favourites for Saturday’s clash against Werder Bremen. The hosts have struggled to score goals this season, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if Neuer keeps a clean sheet in two consecutive games.
