Terrific attacking trio make the difference

The back four and midfield acquitted themselves well against Leipzig, and the front men ensured that their efforts were not in vain. Similar to the weekend in the 5-1 victory over Hoffenheim, albeit not as emphatically, it was once again another fine showing from the attacking trinity of Kane, Olise, and Diaz in the Bayern attack.

Bayern were the deserved winners but only because of the quality of their terrific attacking trio. Kane once again masterfully converted a spot kick and Olise once again found Diaz who delivered the dagger.

For the reigning German Champions to remain in contention for the treble, the dominance of this trio needs to be a recurring event. Based on current form, there’s little reason why their excellence shouldn’t continue. There’s even the potential for conversion to a fabulous four during the business end of the season, provided that Jamal Musiala can recapture his top form in the coming weeks.

Conclusion

The Bavarian faithful can be well pleased with the manner of victory knowing that with both Musiala and Davies yet to hit top gear, Bayern can still get better. The midfield and defense just needs to recapture the level of cohesion from the first half of the season to keep the dream of the treble alive.
