Bayern Munich enjoyed a terrific 2025 as they regained the Bundesliga title, and the team has shown continuous improvement under Vincent Kompany. Harry Kane has played a crucial role in helping the team grow from strength to strength over the last 12 months.
The English forward enjoyed a terrific year in front of the goal. However, Kane had to be content with second place in the list of top goalscorers in 2025. The 32-year-old scored 60 goals for Bayern and England in 2025, missing out on the top spot by six goals. Kylian Mbappe led the chart with 66 goals for Real Madrid and France.
Despite missing out on the top spot, it is fair to say Kane had a terrific year. He scored 51 goals in 56 appearances for Die Roten across different competitions. The English forward finished as the Bundesliga’s top goalscorer last season. Kane also delivered for England in 2025, scoring nine goals in nine appearances.
The significant tally of goals helped Kane garner plaudits across Europe. However, 2025 will certainly be a much more special year for him due to the fact that he lifted the first trophy of his career when Bayern won the Bundesliga title. After missing out on trophies in his first season at Bayern, Kane finally tasted success in his second campaign. He also helped Die Roten win the DFL Supercup at the start of the current season.

Kane has excelled in different role for Bayern this season
The 32-year-old is a prolific goalscorer without an ounce of doubt. However, this season has been all about how efficient he has been in a new role assigned to him without compromising his output in the final third.
With Jamal Musiala on the sidelines for more than six months, Kane had to at times execute the duties of a number ten on the pitch. He has a full range of passing, both short and long range through passes. The English forward works hard to regain possession, showing industry across the pitch.
Despite playing a slightly deeper role, Kane’s output hasn’t suffered at all. He is currently leading the Bundesliga charts with 19 goals in 15 appearances. He became the fastest player to score 100 goals for a club in the 21st century. Kane is showing no signs of decline despite his age, in-fact his numbers are getting better. It is not surprising to see Bayern considering a contract renewal for the England international.
The Bavarian faithful will hope Kane continues his good run of form and ends up winning the treble later this season.
