The last three days of the summer transfer window will be quiet for Bayern Munich. They are not expected to make further signings after completing three deals this summer. Bayern chiefs believe that they have strengthened the squad by signing versatile, high-potential players.
In terms of departures, Bayern have seen some movement in the last few days. Bryan Zaragoza has joined Espanyol on a loan deal that does have a conditional obligation clause. Joao Palhinha is closing on a move to Benfica. Sacha Boey has been left out of the last two matchdays, which suggests he needs a transfer before Tuesday’s deadline to get consistent game time.
Bayern have added another player to the list of departures in the next three days. According to Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern are open to a loan departure for Arijon Ibrahimovic. Werder Bremen are interested in a loan deal for the young German winger. Union Berlin and Atalanta Bergamo are also showing interest in Ibrahimovic.
While talking to the media on Thursday, Bayern’s director of sport, Max Eberl, admitted that Ibrahimovic may need a move away from Bavaria to get adequate game time. Eberl insisted that if anything comes up that suits all parties, they will be open to doing a deal.

Brown’s versatility may have changed Bayern’s stance on Ibrahimovic
Bayern had extended the contract of Ibrahimovic until 2028. He was planned as a deputy for Luis Diaz on the left wing. The 20-year-old had a good loan spell at FC Heidenheim last season. Ibrahimovic was excited about playing for the first team at Bayern after getting clarity about his role from Vincent Kompany.
However, it does look like Nathaniel Brown’s ability to play in the attack may have changed Die Roten’s stance about Ibrahimovic. The German defender played as a number 10 behind Harry Kane in the first two competitive games of the new season.
Brown can also play on the left flank. With Alphonso Davies and Josip Stanisic currently rotating in the left-back position, Brown may end up playing consistently in the attack. In such a scenario, Ibrahimovic may struggle to get any meaningful game time.
It is a disappointing development for the youngster, but a loan move will serve him better in the long run. Bayern just need to ensure that they find a club where he will get guaranteed game time on a weekly basis. In an ideal scenario, Ibrahimovic ends up staying in the Bundesliga this season.
