Tuesday marked the final day of the second international break of the season. With it, a few Bayern Munich players were in action. Let’s see what they got on.

Nestory Irankunda was an unused substitute for Australia, as they picked up an impressive and hard fought point away to Japan, who had previously won nine straight qualifiers, without conceding a goal.

This draw leaves Australia second in their group, with five points from four games. To progress to the next round of qualifying, they must finish in the top four of six spots in the group, and currently sit two points above fifth place.

Crucial win for Kim-Min Jae and South Korea; Joao Palhinha returns for Portugal

Kim-Min Jae started and captained South Korea in their dramatic 3-2 win over Iraq in their Asian World Cup qualifying game. The central defender played yet another 90 minutes, before jetting off back to Bavaria to total over 20,000 miles of traveling this break alone. Most certainly something that needs to be kept an eye on moving forward.

This win leaves South Korea top of their qualifying group with ten points from four games. This puts them seven points above Kuwait in fifth place, leaving them in a very healthy position to advance to the next round.

After leaving Joao Palhinha out of the matchday squad for the win over Poland, Roberto Martinez said it was due to fitness, and that he would be involved against Scotland. He stuck to his word, as the Bayern midfielder was handed a start, playing at the base of midfield in a 433 set up. After 61 minutes, he made way for Ruben Neves.

This draw keeps Portugal top of their Nations League group, with ten points from four games, as they are all but through to the knockout stages.

Adam Aznou was again an unused sub for Morocco, as they battered the Central African Republic, this time coming out as 4-0 winners in the second game of their double header.
