Michael Olise’s early -season brilliant form is continuing during the international break. He came off the bench against Belgium to score the winner for France. Bayern Munich winger also provided the assist in France’s 1-0 win against Turkey.
Olise has been prolific for Bayern this season. He has already raced to eight goals in seven games for Die Roten. The French winger grabbed his first hat trick in the Bavarian colours against Union Berlin just before the international break.
It looks like constant speculation in the summer has not affected Olise one bit. Real Madrid were reportedly keen on making Olise their marquee signing of the summer. However, Bayern were not ready to entertain any offers for the French forward.
After having a solid World Cup campaign with France, Olise has continued where he left off for Bayern last season. The French international is also in the running for the Ballon d’Or award after his exceptional performances for club and country over the last 12 months.
According to SportBild, Bayern is gearing up for complex negotiations with Olise’s representatives. The Bavarian club plans to begin negotiations soon, as they want the French forward to sign a new contract until 2032.
As things stand, Olise and his agents have shown no indication of signing a new contract. The winger’s representatives want to include a release clause in his contract. Die Roten are ready to offer him wages that the likes of Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala are earning.
Olise will have two years left on his contract next summer. Die Roten cannot afford to have the forward run down his contract, as it will incur financial and sporting losses for them. The Bavarian club has enjoyed an admirable success rate in renewing the contracts of key players in the last 18 months. The Bavarian faithful will hope for a similar outcome in Olise’s case since he is currently one of the best players in the world.
Kane closing on a new contract at Bayern
Bayern have their work cut out for the contract extension of Olise, but they are close to completing negotiations with Harry Kane. The English forward has hinted that a contract extension could be finalised in October.
Kane has entered the final year of his current deal. The English striker is content with life in Munich, so negotiations were straightforward. Bayern are ready to offer a long-term deal to the 33-year-old since he is currently the most complete and prolific striker in the world.
