Bayern Munich have to explore various options in the transfer market to strengthen their attack. They have missed out on numerous of their primary targets, which included Florian Wirtz, Nico Williams, and Bradley Barcola. Bayern are currently focusing on the deal to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool.

The Bundesliga champions are expected to accelerate talks with the Merseyside club over the weekend and make an improved bid. They had first bid rejected by Liverpool earlier this month. Diaz is very much open to leaving the Premier League to join Bayern.

While they focus on signing Diaz, Bayern have also enquired about several attacking players across Europe in case a deal with Liverpool doesn’t materialize. The Bavarian club has also tracked one of the forwards from Liverpool’s arch-rivals, Manchester United.

According to ESPN, Bayern have enquired about Manchester United’s Alejandro Garanacho. They have requested the conditions of the potential transfer of the Argentine winger. Manchester United are open to selling Garnacho this summer.

The Argentine forward prefers staying in the Premier League, with the likes of Chelsea and Aston Villa showing interest in him. He is not part of United’s squad that is touring the USA for pre-season. The Red Devils have asked Garnacho to train separately in Manchester in order to secure a move away from the club.

As per various reports in the UK, Manchester United would listen to offers worth €45-65 million for Garnacho. The 21-year-old winger can play on both flanks, but he is at his best on the left side of the attack. In a grim season for Manchester United, Garnacho had 20 goals and assists across all competitions.

Garnacho can be a better long-term signing for Bayern

There is no doubt about Diaz’s quality. He has excelled for Liverpool over the last few seasons. The Colombian will likely hit the ground running. However, the 28-year-old is not the long-term solution to Bayern’s problems in the attack.

Garnacho is 21 and has already shown incredible things he can do in the Premier League. He may need some time to settle in, but his explosiveness can add a lot of quality to Die Roten’s attack. Moreover, Garnacho is going to get better with time. He can eventually achieve the target of becoming a world-class player at Bayern.

From a financial point of view, Garnacho’s transfer will be much more feasible for Bayern. His wages will not be exorbitant, and Manchester United’s asking price is reasonable. It is certainly a deal Bayern should seriously explore this summer.
