The transfer window does bring up funny rumours. Bayern Munich have been involved in such rumours every summer. The award for the funniest rumour was reports suggesting Michael Olise had a release clause in his contract at Bayern.
Paris Saint-Germain have been credited with interest in Olise, while Premier League giants will also keep an eye on Olise. However, they will have no release clause to activate to get Olise out of Bayern.
According to SportBild (via iMiaSanMia), Bayern and Olise’s representatives have quickly denied reports suggesting the presence of a release clause in his contract. Sky Sports in Germany has also confirmed the same, and Bayern are planning with Olise as part of their long-term plans.
The defending Bundesliga champions did an incredible job to beat competition from Premier League clubs to sign Olise from Crystal Palace last summer. There were concerns about Olise’s injury problems during his time at Palace, but he brushed those concerns away quickly by hitting the ground running for Die Roten.
🚨🆕 Despite other reports: Michael #Olise does not have a release clause in his contract until 2029.

FC Bayern are relaxed. He is set to become one of the club’s absolute figureheads in the coming years.

Olise enjoyed a successful debut season at Bayern. The French forward had 43 goal contributions (20 goals and 23 assists) in 55 appearances for the Bavarian club. He was probably the most consistent player for Rekordmeister last season. His performances at the club level also helped him cement a place in the French national team. If he maintains this form this season, there is no doubt Olise will be part of France’s squad for next summer’s World Cup.
Bayern may have to soon offer a new deal to Olise
The 23-year-old winger has started the season the way he ended last one. Olise has already scored three goals in three games this campaign. Provided he remains injury-free, the French winger can better last season’s record.
Bayern may have to give an improved deal for Olise if he enjoys another productive season. There is bound to be a time when their European rivals may come for Olise. Die Roten have to make sure they don’t leave out contract negotiations too late, as they have done with several players in the last 12 months.
For now, Olise and Bayern are happy with each other. There is no release clause to worry about for the Bavarian club. The French forward became a Bundesliga winner last season. He will look to taste success in cup competitions this campaign, along with retaining the Bundesliga title.
