Bayern Munich had a busy weekend when it comes to transfers. The Bavarian club is finally going to get an attacking addition this summer as they close in on a move for Liverpool forward Luis Diaz. Bayern found a breakthrough in talks with the Premier League champions on Saturday.
Die Roten have also done business with the other Premier League Merseyside club this weekend. According to The Athletic and Fabrizio Romano, Bayern have accepted a bid from Everton for Adam Aznou.
Romano has further revealed that the bid from Everton is worth €12 million, including add-ons. It remains to be seen if Bayern have included a buyback or sell-on clause in the deal. Aznou is expected to complete the medical over the weekend and then join Everton’s squad in the USA.
The Moroccan left-back was previously expected to join a La Liga side as Getafe were holding talks with Bayern. However, Everton swooped in and quickly clinched the deal. It is a good move for the 19-year-old full-back as he will get to play in a very competitive Premier League.

Aznou was destined for permanent transfer after the Club World Cup
Bayern chiefs have rated Aznou highly ever since they signed him from FC Barcelona. He excelled at the youth level. The youngster was earmarked to play for the first team at Bayern sooner rather than later. Aznou was consistently training with the senior squad at Die Roten last season before going out on loan to Real Valladolid in January.
The Moroccan full-back got adequate game time with the Spanish club. He is already part of the Moroccan national team. Courtesy of injuries to Hiroki Ito and Alphonso Davies, Aznou was expected to get decent game time at the Club World Cup. However, he managed to play only eight minutes in the tournament.
It was a disappointing tournament for the youngster as he had decided against playing for Morocco in post-season friendlies to focus on the Club World Cup preparations at Bayern. It was a matter of when, not if, for Aznou to secure a permanent transfer after the Club World Cup.
The Bavarian faithful will be disappointed to see another talented youngster leave Bavaria when there was a possibility of him getting minutes at Bayern. Fans will hope Bayern have inserted a buy-back clause since Aznou will more than likely flourish at Everton if he keeps working hard in training and makes the most of his opportunities.
