Bayern Munich could let Mathys Tel leave on loan in January amid the highly rated forward's lack of playing time this season.
Mathys Tel has only been on the pitch for a total of 180 minutes so far this season, and has yet to open his goalscoring account. And a loan move away from Bayern Munich could be on the cards for the talented forward during the January transfer window.
Mathys Tel could leave Bayern Munich on loan in January
This is being claimed by Sky Sport, and the report adds that the likes of Borussia Mönchengladbach and Werder Bremen have made enquiries for Tel in the past.
Tel signed a contract extension with Bayern Munich until 2029 earlier this year with the promise of more playing time. But that hasn't happened as of yet under Vincent Kompany, with the likes of Michael Olise, Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, and Leroy Sané all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Those in charge at Bayern Munich rate Tel very highly, but will hope to see an improvement in performances from him in the coming months. A loan spell may be beneficial for the 19 year old as it would give him the opportunity to play regularly and showcase his ability, much like Paul Wanner (FC Heidenheim) and Bryan Zaragoza (Osasuna) are doing at the moment.
Bayern Munich signed Mathys Tel from Stade Rennes in 2022 and the forward has made a total of 75 appearances so far for the club, scoring 16 goals and assisting a further six.
