Bayern Munich are expected to be busy in the transfer market during the weekend as they want to get a couple of deals over the line before Monday’s transfer deadline. The defending Bundesliga champions are specifically focusing on adding forwards to the squad after parting ways with several attackers this summer.

It looks like Bayern have got one deal over the line early this weekend. According to Fabrizio Romano and Sky Sports in Germany, Bayern have agreed a loan deal with Chelsea for Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese forward will soon travel to Bavaria to complete the formalities of the transfer.

Romano and other media outlets have reported that the loan fee is €15 million for Jackson. Die Roten have an option to buy next summer for €65 million. Chelsea have also managed to insert a sell-on clause in case the deal becomes permanent next summer. Personal terms shouldn’t be an option, as Bayern had already held productive talks with Jackson. As per The Athletic, personal terms are already in place between Jackson and Bayern for a long-term contract incase Bayern make the transfer permanent next summer.

From a financial perspective, it is not the best deal Bayern have negotiated in the recent past. They are paying fourth fourth-largest loan fee for a player in the history of football transfers. The Bavarian club is also covering the entire wages of Jackson. It will be interesting to see if Bayern have a long-term plan with Jackson, considering the hefty loan fee they have decided to pay for one season.

Jackson will certainly add more quality to the squad

Despite the jaw-dropping numbers behind the transfer, Jackson will certainly strengthen Kompany’s options in the attack. The Senegalese striker can play across the attack, providing Kompany with much-needed tactical flexibility in the attack.

Jackson’s record has been fairly decent at Chelsea as he managed 42 goal contributions (30 goals and 12 assists) in 81 appearances across all competitions. He is very good at creating opportunities for other forwards with his clever runs and crisp passing. The 24-year-old needs to improve his finishing, considering the number of chances he manages to create for himself by making clever runs and showing astute awareness in and around the box.

The Senegalese forward will make his debut for Bayern after the international break. He will get the opportunity to play against Chelsea in the Champions League since Die Roten have been drawn against them in the group stages.
