Bayern Munich: Thomas Tuchel pleased with exciting attacking partnership
Bayern Munich and Thomas Tuchel have quality options in the attack this season. The Bavarian club strengthened the attack further by signing Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window. Kane has made an instant impact on the pitch for Bayern, scoring eight goals in six games.
Along with Kane, Leroy Sane has also been in fine form for Die Roten. The German forward has become the mainstay in Tuchel’s starting XI on the right flank. Sane has scored five goals across six games, sitting behind Kane in the scoring chart.
Sane and Kane have taken very little time to become a formidable partnership in the final third. The German forward’s goal against VfL Bochum on Saturday summed up how those two complement each other in the final third. Whenever Kane drops deep, Sane makes the perfect run. The English forward has a great eye for a killer pass, which makes sure that Sane’s runs are spotted in the final third.
As the duo play more this season, the partnership is likely to become even more potent for Bayern. While talking to the media on Monday (via iMiaSanMia), Tuchel spoke glowingly about the Sane-Kane linkup and revealed the reasons behind their success this season.
"“Leroy speaks fluent English, he communicates a lot with Harry. Harry makes his teammates better, with his character, his style. Leroy is in very good form, with good body language and a very good mindset. Both are combing very well at the moment.”"
Kane’s arrival will certainly help other forwards too. The English forward is a complete number nine. Along with being a prolific goal-scorer, Harry Kane is very good with his short and long passing. He can play the diagonal passes with ease when the team is looking to switch play. The 30-year-old can also make defense-splitting passes to find the runs of his teammates.
Along with Sane, Jamal Musiala has also linked up well with Kane at Bayern. The likes of Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman will also reap the rewards of playing with the English forward. Kane will also get more opportunities to score than he had at Spurs due to the better attacking players behind him.
Meanwhile, Sane is also enjoying consistency in performances due to Tuchel’s system. The German forward has largely played on the right flank this season. He has the license to occupy central positions and swap roles with Musiala. Sane is looking more confident and efficient on the ball, which shows that Tuchel has found a way to get the best out of him.

Tuchel has got the attack scoring for fun this season. The German coach also needs to find a solution for Die Roten’s defensive shape. They remain unbeaten this season but showed defensive vulnerability in a few games. Once the defensive woes ease-out, Rekordmeister will become a force to reckon with this season.
