Kingsley Coman begins his Bundesliga campaign with a bang

After missing the first two games of the season due to suspension, Kingsley Coman got an opportunity to get in the starting XI against Bochum. The French winger came into the lineup since Jamal Musiala was injured and Serge Gnabry was not fit to start.

Coman took no time to settle in as he delivered a man-of-the-match performance against Bochum. The French winger managed to set up Leroy Sane for Die Roten’s first goal in the fourth minute. By the end of the second half, Coman had three goal contributions. He scored Bayern’s third goal and played a fine pass to set up Sadio Mane for the fifth goal.

The French winger had four shots in the game and played three key passes. He also worked hard defensively, making four tackles and one interception. Coman was a constant menace on the right flank for Die Roten, delivering a complete performance as a wide player in this system.

Coman has certainly made a case for him to start the next game, even if Jamal Musiala returns to complete fitness next weekend against Borussia Monchengladbach. He is very motivated for this season as he is eyeing another Champions League title and World Cup with France. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
