The biggest transfer saga of the summer came to a conclusion late on Friday. Bayern Munich had accepted Barcelona’s fourth and final bid for Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker wanted a new challenge in his career. After extensive negotiations with Barcelona, Die Roten eventually granted his wish.

After spending eight seasons in Bavaria, Lewandowski will be donning Barcelona’s jersey from next season. The Polish striker bid goodbyes to his teammates at Sabner Strasse on Saturday. He was not present at the presentation ceremony at Allianz Arena as he will be travelling to the USA to meet his new teammates.
