The ongoing international break has been perfectly used by Bayern Munich to start laying the groundwork for the summer transfer business. Die Roten has started negotiations for Ajax duo Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui. Both players will bolster key positions in the current first-team squad in Bavaria.

Along with doing efficient business for arrivals, Bayern will have to be equally good in terms of raising funds from departures. There is unlikely to be an expensive departure this summer but getting a decent fee for squad players is equally important.

Bouna Sarr is one of the first team players that looks nailed on to leave Die Roten in the summer. The Senegalese right-back has struggled for playing time under Julian Nagelsmann. With the potential arrival of Mazraoui, Sarr will have next to no chance of getting playing time in the senior team.

According to Butfootballclub in France, Marseille is interested in bringing Bouna Sarr back to the club. The 30-year-old full-back left Marseille in 2020 to join Bayern. It will be an ideal move for the Senegalese right-back to kickstart his club career.

Bouna Sarr has struggled to get playing time in Bavaria during the last two seasons. Poor form and injuries have meant Sarr had to be content with odd starts across all competitions. The German club was ready to listen to offers for him last summer, but the full-back decided to stay put for a season.

It was widely reported that Sarr could be on the move in the winter transfer window, but he decided to assess his future in the summer. Sarr was eager to build on the incredible AFCON win with Senegal, but he has struggled with an injury since returning from the tournament in February. Benjamin Pavard is the preferred right-back for Nagelsmann, while Josip Stanisic is second in the pecking order for this position.

Die Roten will be hoping for interest from clubs in Sarr to get the best possible transfer fee for him. In an ideal scenario, the Bavarian club recoups most of the fee paid for Sarr in 2020. However, the defender’s stock has fallen in the last two seasons due to a lack of playing time at Bayern.

Apart from Sarr, Corentin Tolisso and Niklas Sule will be high-profile departures from Bayern in the summer. Sule has already agreed to a move to Borussia Dortmund, while Tolisso is expected to become a free agent in June. There is speculation surrounding the future of Robert Lewandowski and Serge Gnabry, but it will be a huge surprise if both forwards are not playing for Bayern next season.
