Bayern Munich ended 2021 two weeks ago as the winter break in Germany begins after 16 gameweeks in the Bundesliga. The defending champions have enjoyed a reasonable Hinrunde with a lead of nine points at the top of the points table.

Rekordmeister has also been delivering fantastic results under Julian Nagelsmann in the Champions League. They went on to win all of their six group games in CL. The only disappointment under Nagelsmann has been 5-0 defeat against Borussia Monchengladbach in DFB Pokal.

The first six months of the year had a Bundesliga title and FIFA Club World Cup trophy to cherish for Die Roten. They made it nine league titles in a row but couldn’t go beyond the quarter-final in the Champions League after suffering defeat on away goals against Paris Saint-Germain.

From a financial point of view, Bayern had a tough year. The club felt the effects of COVID and ended up losing close to €150 million in the pandemic. With games back behind closed doors due to the threat of the omicron variant, Rekordmeister could face similar financial problems in the near future.

With only few hours left for 2021 to end, it is time to reflect on the last 12 months for Bayern Munich. The Bavarian club had loads of ups and downs throughout the year, but it did have some amazing moments that can be cherished. Here are Rekordmeister’s best moments during 2021.
