Bayern Munich initiate contact with agent of Denis Zakaria

The midfield overhaul at Bayern Munich is set to be in motion during the next summer transfer window. According to transfer journalist- Fabrizio Romano, Die Roten has been in contact with the agents of Zakaria. This is not the first time Zakaria has been linked with a move to Bavaria.

There will be significant competition for Zakaria as Romano confirms that Barcelona, Juventus, and two English clubs have also held talks with the player’s agent. The 25-year-old midfielder will be free to sign a pre-contract agreement during the winter transfer window.

Zakaria is a versatile midfield player. He can be used as a defensive midfielder or box-to-box midfielder. Apart from operating in two midfield positions, Zakaria can also play in the heart of the defense. The only concern about Zakaria is the dip in his form since the serious knee injury he suffered in early 2020. He was out of action for six months due to this injury.
