Rotation in midfield and attack for Bayern?

Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka have been ruled out for the clash against Barcelona. Kimmich is yet to train fully with the team, so Nagelsmann is not keen on playing him on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Goretzka will miss the game after suffering a minor injury during the victory against Borussia Dortmund. Marcel Sabitzer is back in training, but he is unlikely to be fit to start on Wednesday.

In such a scenario, Marc Roca may get his first start of the season. The Spaniard has struggled for playing time under Naglesmann this season, which has fuelled speculation surrounding his long-term future at the club. The Spaniard will be partnered with Corentin Tolisso in the center of the park.

Thomas Muller has played almost every game this season whenever he is fit. The German forward may finally get a rest on Wednesday since Die Roten can afford to rotate in this game. Jamal Musiala will most likely replace Muller in the number ten position.

Serge Gnabry has been ruled out for the game against Barcelona, which paves the way for Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman on the flank. Sane will start on the left, while Coman will occupy on the right flank. Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the defending Bundesliga champions on Wednesday.
