The Premier League has got even more intriguing after the arrival of new owners at Newcastle United. Even though there will not be an immediate impact of new Saudi owners, but Newcastle will surely become a powerhouse in the future if the owners make the right decision in the club’s structure. It does look like the new hierarchy at Newcastle wants to bring a crucial member of staff at Bayern Munich to improve the football structure at the club.

According to Foot Mercato, Newcastle United is interested in bringing Die Roten’s head of recruitment Laurent Busser. The Frenchman has a few years left on his contract, so the English club will have to negotiate with Rekordmeister for his release.

Busser has been working at Die Roten since January 2018. The Frenchman plays a crucial role in the club’s recruitment setup, so it will be a huge surprise if Die Roten allows him to leave for Newcastle United anytime soon.

Bayern has largely enjoyed a good record in recruitment since the arrival of Busser. The Bavarian club has identified good young talent and overseen the rebuild in the defense as senior players have been replaced with some of the best young players in Europe.

Along with Busser, Newcastle could also end up snapping Niklas Sule from Die Roten. The German midfielder has been subject to interest from the English club. If his contract situation is not sorted in the next few weeks, Newcastle can open talks with him in January for a pre-contract agreement.

Sule has reportedly tried to engineer a move to England in the past, so he will have a good chance of making it happen next summer since he will be available on a free transfer. However, Newcastle United might not meet Sule’s sporting ambitions at the moment. He should be eyeing a club playing in the Champions League.

Nevertheless, Rekordmeister is keen on extending Sule’s contract. Nagelsmann reportedly wants the defender to stay after enjoying a good start to this season. The German defender will have a stronger hand in negotiations since he has only seven months on the current deal.

Newcastle United will be hoping that they get both men from Die Roten to start the new era at the club. They might find it difficult to price them away from Bavaria since Bayern is one of the best sporting projects in Europe. The English club has a long way to go in terms of becoming an attractive club like Bayern.
