The Champions League football will resume this week after a brief international break. Bayern Munich will be looking to make it three wins in a row in Champions League this season when they travel to Benfica on Wednesday.

Die Roten bounced back from the defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt in the best possible way on Saturday. Julian Nagelsmann’s men blew away Bayer Leverkusen at Bay Arena to clinch 5-1 victory. The most impressive aspect of this performance was quick-fire five goals in the first half gave Leverkusen no chance to come back in the game.

Bayern has also enjoyed good results in the Champions League. Comprehensive victories against Barcelona and Dynamo Kyiv have put them in a strong position to finish at the top of the table. A victory in Portugal on Wednesday will make sure that they have one foot in the round of 16.

Meanwhile, Benfica has also enjoyed good results and performances in the Champions League this season. The Portuguese club is currently second in the group with four points. In their last CL game, they managed to beat Barcelona convincingly in Lisbon. Die Roten should gear up for a tough game on Wednesday due to Benfica’s form. Let us look at the possible starting XI that Nagelsmann can choose on Wednesday to make it three wins in a row in Europe.
