Rotation continues in back four for Bayern Munich

The goalkeeping department at Bayern suffered a blow this week as Sven Ulreich suffered a serious injury this week. Christian Fruchtl will replace Ulreich on the bench against Freuth. Manuel Neuer will be looking to make it three clean sheets in a row across all competitions on Friday.

Since Lucas Hernandez featured against Bochum, there is a good chance that Dayot Upamecano returns to the starting lineup on Friday. The French defender got a rest against Bochum after playing non-stop since the start of the season.

Sule will most likely partner Upamecano in the heart of defense against Freuth. The German defender is enjoying life under Nagelsmann after a strong start to the season. Nagelsmann is currently rotating three center-backs, so Hernandez will most likely start against Dynamo Kyiv on Wednesday.

Alphonso Davies was afforded rest in the entire second half against Bochum since the team was cruising to victory. The Canadian winger is expected to start in the left-back position on Friday. Josip Stanisic did a fine job against Bochum, but he is likely to get a breather on Friday. Benjamin Pavard will return to the starting XI after making a steady return to form after recovering from injury earlier this month.
