Nagelsmann could tinker in midfield

Since Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka have been starting every game, Julian Nagelsmann may contemplate giving a start to Marcel Sabitzer on Friday. The Austrian midfielder is yet to get a start since sealing a transfer from RB Leipzig at the start of September.

Nagelsmann may rest Goretzka and give some minutes from the start to Kimmich. The German manager may consider bringing Marc Roca on early in the second half, provided Die Roten is cruising to victory. The Spaniard is now completely fit after recovering from a serious injury that he suffered at the start of the pre-season.

Jamal Musiala and Serge Gnabry reported for first-team training on Thursday after missing out on the last couple of days due to injury and illness, respectively. Gnabry is likely to get the nod on Friday, while Leroy Sane will occupy the left flank. Since Musiala is coming back from a contact injury that he suffered this week, Nagelsmann might prefer giving him minutes from the bench.

Thomas Muller will slot in the number ten position, while Robert Lewandowski will lead the line. The Polish striker has been in tremendous form this season as he looks well on course to win another golden boot.
