Bayern Munich: Kingsley Coman sets eye on move to Premier League
After the end of the summer transfer window, Bayern Munich will face crucial few months ahead to secure the long-term futures of key players of the squad. Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka have already reached an agreement with the club for new deals, so the attention will switch to forwards and Niklas Sule.
The contract negotiations with Kingsley Coman have reportedly been tricky until now as he enters the final two years of the contract. Throughout the summer, reports from France and Germany have suggested that Coman is not happy with the proposal put forward by the club. Few reports even suggested that the French international could leave in the same window, but Die Roten wanted close to €100 million for him.
The latest murmurs from France regarding Coman’s future in Bavaria are not positive at all. According to Le10Sports, Coman is eyeing a move to Premier League and remains unlikely to sign a new deal with Die Roten. Liverpool and Manchester City were the potential destinations mentioned by the French media outlet.
The German Champions will have the last opportunity to get a good fee for him next summer if he decides against signing a new deal. Considering the financial implications of the pandemic, Die Roten will be looking to cash in 12 months if no breakthrough is found with talks with Coman.

The French international has come leaps and bounds in the last 18 months for Die Roten. After enduring a frustrating time with injuries and inconsistency, Coman has established himself as a key player for Rekordmeister. Considering his importance in the current squad, it will be a big blow for the club to part ways with him.
However, Die Roten cannot afford to allow another player to leave on a free transfer. They faced a similar situation with David Alaba in the last two seasons. The Austrian defender eventually left on a free transfer last summer to join Real Madrid. Getting a big fee from Kingsley Coman will help in further reshaping the squad, so the next nine months are going to be decisive for the club and player.
Die Roten currently has a talented and promising forward in Jamal Musiala. Considering the trajectory of his development in the last 12 months, Musiala could play more regularly for Die Roten and replace Kingsley Coman. The German Champions may have to look for another young winger to add more depth to this position. Karim Adeyemi could turn out to be a shrewd option for the German Champions to add more depth in wide areas.
Apart from Coman, the futures of Serge Gnabry and Robert Lewandowski will be also on the agenda for Rekordmeister. Both forwards currently have less than two years left on the current deal. After securing a settled spine of midfield and defense, Die Roten will have to work on the attacking department of the squad in the coming months.
