Sarpreet Singh’s incredible early season form for Jahn Regensburg has continued. The Bayern Munich player on loan at the 2.Bundesliga side scored in Regensburg’s 4-1 win over Schalke. In addition to his goal, Singh registered two key passes and completed 90% of his total pass attempts.

Through four 2.Bundesliga appearances, Singh has registered two goals and three assists. According to WhoScored statistics, the 22-year-old is tied for the top spot in the league in key passes per game. He is currently averaging 3.5 key passes per appearance in the German second division.

The perfect start to the campaign with Regensburg is exactly what the doctor ordered for Singh. He struggled to get game time at FC Nurnberg last summer, which eventually led to the termination of the loan spell midway through the season. From January 2021, Singh has been playing for Die Roten’s reserves team. Good loan spell for Singh at Regensburg will help him to get equipped for senior-level football.

Singh was not the only Bayern player on loan to score this past weekend. In Austria, Alex Timossi Andersson scored for Austria Klagenfurt in their 3-1 loss to Red Bull Salzburg. The 20-year-old has scored three goals in his last three appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga. So far Timossi is the highest scoring Bayern player on loan.

Elsewhere, it was a brief appearance for Jann-Fiete Arp against Fortuna Dusseldorf. The forward on loan at Holstein Kiel entered in the 85th minute. Despite only entering the match with a few minutes left, Arp went on to record two key passes and one-shot as the match finished 2-2.

The first Ligue 1 victory for Alexander Nubel remains elusive. Monaco fell to Lens 2-0 on Matchday Three of the 2021/22 Ligue 1 season. Through three matches, Monaco has yet to register a victory in the domestic campaign. Nubel will have a big week ahead as Monaco will face Shakhtar Donetsk in leg two of the qualifying round for the UEFA Champions League group stage. The French side lost to the Ukrainian club 1-0 in the first leg.

Joshua Zirkzee and Anderlecht did not have a weekend fixture in the Belgian top-flight but he did appear in the starting 11 for their UEFA Conference League qualifying match against Vitesse in mid-week action.

A few of the players currently on loan did not feature for their respective clubs this past week. Lars Lukas Mai and Adrian Fein both were on the bench for the matchday squad but both didn’t get a chance to play a part in their respective games.
