Jann-Fiete Arp scored his first goal for Holstein Kiel. The Bayern Munich forward on loan at the 2.Bundesliga side converted a penalty kick in a 4-2 win over Weiche Flensburg in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. Arp had yet to register a goal in his first two league matches with Kiel but his first goal for the club has now arrived.
Arp entered the match in the 59th minute and would go on to play for the remainder of regular and extra time. It was 0-0 after 90 minutes and the match ended up going to extra time where an incredible six goals were scored. Arp’s successful penalty conversion was the first goal of the match in the 94th minute.
SofaScore gave Arp a 7.0 rating for his performance. He would finish with two key passes and two shots to go along with his goal.
Alex Timossi Andersson stars for Austria Klagenfurt
It was a terrific performance from Andersson against Hartberg in the Austrian Bundesliga. The 20-year-old received a rating of 9.5 from SofaScore for his one goal and two assists in the 4-3 win for Austria Klagenfurt. Andersson scored his club’s second goal of the match and then he went on two provide assists on their third and fourth goals. This was certainly his best performance thus far in the Austrian Bundesliga.

Others involved in DFB-Pokal action
Sarpreet Singh was in the starting 11 for Jahn Regensburg’s 3-0 win over FC Rot-Weiss Koblenz in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. Singh went on to play 63 minutes and received a rating of 7.1 from SofaScore for his performance. He registered one key pass and one tackle.
Lars Lukas Mai and Werder Bremen were defeated 2-0 by Osnabruck. The defender was given a 6.8 rating for his performance as he played all 90 minutes of the match. Mai finished with five clearances, one tackle, and one blocked shot.
Alexander Nubel has a busy week for Monaco
Nubel made two appearances for Monaco this past week. In the first match against Sparta Prague, he would pick up the clean sheet in a 2-0 win. The goalkeeper finished with two saves and recorded a 70% pass completion percentage.
In the weekend Ligue 1 fixture, Nubel was in net against Nantes and the match would end in a 1-1 draw. Against Nantes, he registered no saves but did complete all of his passes.
The week ahead
Regensburg and Kiel will meet in the 2.Bundesliga on Saturday which will feature both Arp and Singh. Of Bayern’s players on loan, this will certainly be a match to keep an eye on as the two forwards look to make an impact for their respective clubs.
Mai and Bremen are back in action against Paderborn on Sunday in the 2.Bundesliga. Elsewhere, Andersson will look to produce another top-class performance when Austria Klagenfurt takes on Austria Wien.
Nubel should be busy again this week with Monaco playing Sparta Prague in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League third-round qualifying. On Friday they play Lorient in Ligue 1 action for another two fixture week.
