Bayern Munich: Sarpreet Singh stars for Jahn Regensburg

Sarpreet Singh played a key role in helping Jahn Regensburg register all three points on the first matchday of the 2021/22 2. Bundesliga season. The player on loan from Bayern Munich scored one goal and recorded four key passes in the 2-0 win over Darmstadt. Singh received the highest player rating of the match on WhoScored for his performance with an 8.42 rating. Additionally, he received a high rating of 8.0 from Sofa Score. Overall, it was a fantastic first match of the season for the forward.

Singh is currently on a season-long loan with Jahn Regensburg. He has yet to play an entire season on loan and the upcoming campaign will be a fantastic opportunity for him to impress the Die Roten’s coaching staff. If he can continue to produce performances like the one against Darmstadt then this could turn out to be one of the best loan moves Bayern made in the summer transfer window.

Other players on loan in action

There were two other Bayern players currently on loan who featured for their clubs in the opening weekend of the 2. Bundesliga campaign. Lars Lukas Mai was in the starting 11 for Werder Bremen as they earned a point in a 1-1 draw with Hannover. The defender recorded a team-high eight clearances. WhoScored gave him a 6.39 rating for his performance while Sofa Score had him at a 6.80 rating.

Elsewhere in the German second division, Jann-Fiete Arp was in the starting 11 of Holstein Kiel in their 3-0 loss to St. Pauli. The forward played 62 minutes and registered two shots and one key pass. Arp received a rating of 6.04 from WhoScored for his performance and a 6.20 rating from Sofa Score.

Alexander Nubel did not appear to play based on the post-match report for Monaco’s friendly against Wolfsburg. Monaco will play another friendly on Wednesday when they will face Real Sociedad.
