Bayern Munich looking at Eredivisie to strengthen attack
Bayern Munich has been tipped to improve the attack this summer after the departure of Douglas Costa. The Brazilian was brought on loan from Juventus to be the fourth winger. Die Roten needs one more winger to add more depth in the attack for a long campaign.
According to Sky Sports in Germany, Rekordmeister is looking at two wingers in Eredivisie to address the wide position this summer. The German media outlet has already reported interest in PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo earlier this summer. Along with Gakpo, Die Roten is also looking at Ajax winger Antony.
However, there is a good chance of Bayern Munich getting priced out from moves for this winger. Sky Sports once again reiterate that PSV wants a fee between €25-30 million for Gakpo, while Ajax values Antony between €30-35 million.
The club hierarchy has insisted that big money signings are unlikely to take place this summer after the arrival of Dayot Upamecano. The German Champions have suffered losses worth €150 million due to the pandemic, which has dented the transfer budget for this summer.

Despite the impact of the pandemic, Die Roten can complete a move for winger by cashing in on fringe players. The German club has reportedly transfer-listed five players for this summer, but there has been very little movement regarding their departures.
Gakpo or Antony will add more quality in the wide positions. Both wingers have performed considerably well in Eredivisie. They are likely to get better in the coming years, so Die Roten will do well to invest in these forwards this summer. Adding a fourth winger this summer will complete the attack for Rekordmeister, with all positions covered with tremendous quality.
Earlier this week, Julian Nagelsmann was full of praise for Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, and Leroy Sane. The German manager believes that all three wingers are world-class and improve further in the final third. Even though there is speculation regarding the future of Coman, he is likely to be at the club next season.
Another wide player will make sure that two players will compete for each wide position. Healthy competition will benefit these young forwards. Moreover, Nagelsmann has a good record of improving attacking players, so next season could be special for wingers at Die Roten. The addition of a fourth winger may not happen quickly, but the interest in these two young forwards is encouraging for the Bavarian faithful.
