Bayern Munich will be without numerous key players for the first training session under Julian Nagelsmann next month due to their commitments with the national team. However, few players will be using this opportunity to impress Nagelsmann and break into his plans for the first team.

Mickael Cuisance is one of the few players that will be available for the entire pre-season training. The French midfielder is currently on vacation. He will be reporting for pre-season training at the start of July, when other internationals will be getting a break.

After a difficult season in Ligue 1 with Marseille, Cuisance clearly doesn’t have long-term future in Bavaria. However, the French midfielder is willing to start from scratch and give a shot at Die Roten by working hard in pre-season training.

According to Sport1’s Florian Plettenberg, Cuisance is ready to impress Die Roten during pre-season and once again try to establish himself at the club. However, he further insists that Cuisance remains one of the players that Rekordmeister will be looking to listen to offers in the summer transfer window.

More from Bayern Strikes

Cuisance arrived in Bavaria with so much promise in 2019. The German club had signed him as a replacement for Renato Sanches, but the French midfielder’s fate turned out to be the same similar to Sanches. Considering the competition for places in the midfield department, Cuisance got very minimum playing time in his debut season.

The Frenchman decided to part ways with the club last summer and agreed to a move to Leeds United. However, the transfer fell through at the last moment, so he went out on loan to Marseille. The French midfielder had no luck during his loan spell as he failed to get adequate playing time to get back to his best. Just when he was thriving under Jorge Sampaoli in the final quarter of the season, he was dropped from matchday squads for the last few games.

Die Roten currently has fewer midfielders in the squad compared to when Cuisance arrived from Monchengladbach. The German Champions are looking to improve the midfield department, so there is an opportunity for Cuisance to stake a claim for a place in the squad.

Rekordmeister currently needs a new right-back and additional winger, so getting Cuisance back to his best will buy them time to sign a midfielder. It will still take a lot of things to happen for Cuisance to get back in the squad, but a redemption arc for him in Bavaria would be pleasing to see.
