Bayern Munich continues to have good representation in various individual awards throughout the year. Even though Die Roten could not defend the Champions League title, they had numerous top performers in the team. Three young players from Bayern have got themselves a nomination in TuttoSport’s Golden Boy Award.

Tanguy Kouassi and Jamal Musiala from the first team have been mentioned in the list of 100 best young players in the World. Meanwhile, Alex Timossi Andersson from Die Roten’s youth team has also been nominated for this award.

The potential of Kouassi is further highlighted by this nomination. The French defender had very little luck during his debut season in Bavaria. After leaving Paris Saint-Germain last summer to join Die Roten, Kouassi has been dealing with multiple injury setbacks. In limited game time, there have been flashes of his brilliance.

Kouassi is likely to play a big role in the first team while going forward. With the arrival of Julian Nagelsmann, Kouassi will be looking to get started in Bavaria from next season. Along with the potential exit of Niklas Sule, the departures of Jerome Boateng and David Alaba will present a lot of game time for Kouassi next season.

More from Bayern Strikes

Meanwhile, Jamal Musiala has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at the age of 18. The versatile forward played over 1000 minutes for Rekordmeister and scored important goals throughout the season. Rekordmeister eventually managed to reward Musiala’s performances by offering him a long-term deal.

From the start of the season, Musiala started making matchday squads. He came off the bench in the first league game of the season and got himself on the scoresheet. His development over the season has been rapid and fascinating. England and Germany were involved in a tug of war to get his international allegiance sorted. Eventually, Germany won the battle and added Musiala to Euro 2020 squad.

Alex Timossi Andersson spent the entire season on loan at two different clubs. The Swedish forward was involved in eight goals across 15 games during his loan spell at SK Austria Klagenfurt. He is yet to make his debut for Die Roten. If he continues to enjoy good loan spells, his time in the first team will eventually arrive. (Stats courtesy: Transfermarkt)

Musiala is the best candidate from Die Roten to win this award. However, there are some phenomenal talents on this list. The German forward enjoyed a productive season compared to his peers and also won silverware. The Bavarian faithful can vote for him and other Die Roten players on Tuttosport’s website.
