Bayern Munich has been heavily linked with midfielders during the second half of the season. Despite the recent suggestions by German media about the club prioritizing right-back and winger, it does look like midfield will eventually need reinforcements. However, Die Roten may have to sell one of the first team players to bring in a midfielder.
Corentin Tolisso has been widely tipped as the player that could make way for a new midfielder. The Frenchman has been linked with a move to Italy on numerous occasions in the last two seasons. Moreover, Tolisso has been tightlipped about his future in Bavaria ahead of Euro 2020. The French midfielder’s move to Serie A could soon gather pace if the later update from Italy is to be believed.
According to Sky Italy’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Juventus has contacted Corentin Tolisso regarding a summer transfer. The former Italian Champions have previously tried to sign Tolisso in the past before his move to Bavaria. This report also insists that Sassuolo’s Manuel Locatelli remains the top midfield target for Juventus, but they remain interested in Tolisso.
Juventus and Bayern have been consistently worked together for numerous deals. The two clubs have worked on deals involving players such as Kingsley Coman, Douglas Costa, Arturo Vidal, and Mehdi Benatia in the recent past. If Bianconeri’s interest in Tolisso is real, then this transfer is likely to open.

Die Roten broke the club transfer record to sign Tolisso by paying €41.5 million to Lyon. This transfer record was broken two years later for Lucas Hernandez. Despite the German club spending heavily in the last three summer window, Tolisso remains the third most expensive player in the club’s history.
Bayern would want to recoup more than half of the transfer fee they paid for Corentin Tolisso. The French midfielder entering the peak years of his career, so a good transfer fee is justified for him. However, his contract situation in Bavaria puts the ball in the interested club’s court. Tolisso currently has only one year left on his deal at Die Roten.
Nevertheless, it does feel like Tolisso’s time in Bavaria is certainly going to come to an end this summer. The Frenchman had started brilliantly at Rekordmeister, but poor luck with injuries has not allowed Tolisso to build on a promising debut campaign.
Despite being out of action for the majority of the second half of the season due to a serious injury, Tolisso was included in the French squad for Euro 2020. Bayern will be hoping that the French international has a good Euro 2020, which could ultimately boost his transfer value.
