Bayern Munich has to make some tough decisions during the summer transfer window. They have already parted ways with three senior players after deciding against offering them new terms. The German club also needs to make a decision on the future of some of the younger players in the squad.

Corentin Tolisso is one of the few players that will hold talks with the club in the summer. The French midfielder will have only one year deal on his current contract. Tolisso has largely been used as a squad player in the last two seasons.

Injuries have been a serious issue for Corentin Tolisso at Bayern Munich. Despite a decent start to the 2020/21 season, Tolisso once again fell prey to a serious injury in February. The French midfielder made his return in the penultimate gameweek of the Bundesliga in May.

Tolisso has the opportunity to have a strong end to a difficult season by winning Euro 2020 with France. The Frenchman is completely focused on the tournament after Didier Deschamps showed faith in him despite a difficult season in Bavaria. While talking to L’Equipe (via iMiaSanMia) this week, Tolisso refused to talk about his future after working hard to be fit for Euro 2020.

"“I want to focus on the Euros. I’m not asking any questions about my future. I was so focused on my comeback in the past 3 months that I haven’t had any thoughts (about my future). I’m going to the Euros to win it, that’s the goal now.”"

More from Bayern Strikes

Bayern Munich will be hoping for a good Euro 2020 for Tolisso

Tolisso had hit the ground running for Die Roten after becoming the most expensive transfer in the club’s history in 2017. He provided goals from midfield, which Bayern desperately needed. After a productive debut season, Tolisso went on to win the World Cup with France.

The French midfielder started the second season brightly, but a serious ligament injury brought an abrupt end to the campaign. Since this serious ACL injury, Tolisso has struggled in Bavaria. He is no longer first choice midfielder in the current squad. Moreover, persistent injuries have not allowed him to build any sort of momentum.

Despite these injuries, Corentin Tolisso is yet to enter the peak of his career. However, a change of environment could do wonders to kickstart his career. Moreover, Rekordmeister also needs funds to address other areas in the squad. Listening to offers for the Frenchman in the summer would benefit all parties.

The French midfielder is unlikely to start regularly for Les Bleus since Deschamps has different players in his first-choice midfield setup. However, good cameos for Tolisso during this competition will help Die Roten to get decent offers for the Frenchman in the summer.
