After sealing the Bundesliga title last weekend, Bayern Munich will start thinking about next season even though two games are left in the league. Along with improving the squad to win more silverware, sorting the future of Alexander Nubel is also on the agenda for Die Roten.

The German Champions are bracing for multiple offers for the young goalkeeper. The possible French Champions Lille is the first club to approach Die Roten to sign Nubel. According to RMC, Lille has made a loan offer for Nubel to replace the departing Mike Maignan. The French media outlet insists that the two clubs are talking about a two-year loan deal.

Report from France regarding Lille’s interest in Nubel has also been confirmed by Sky in Germany. The German media outlet insists that Monaco is also interested in Nubel, and the young goalkeeper wants to move away from Bundesliga to get regular playing time.

Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig have also been previously linked with Nubel, but Die Roten would be eager to go away from Bundesliga rivals and get regular playing time. Both Monaco and Lille will be quality options for Nubel if he gets regular playing time since both clubs are going to play in the Champions League.

More from Bayern Strikes

Nubel moved to Bavaria last summer after his contract at Schalke came to an end in June 2020. He is considered one of the best young goalkeeping talents in Germany. However, moving to the best club in the country was always going to be a learning curve for him since he will be competing with Manuel Neuer.

The first season at Rekordmeister has largely on the training ground for Nubel. He has got very minimal game time since Neuer has been in fine form throughout the season. The 24-year-old shot-stopper has probably learnt a lot by training with Neuer, but he needs to get regular playing time next season to continue his development.

A two-year loan deal with a break clause would be the ideal solution for all parties. Neuer will be 37 by the time Alexander Nubel returns to Bavaria, so a good loan spell will increase his chances of becoming number one in Bavaria by 2024.

Die Roten could see a goalkeeper upheaval during the summer window. With the departure of Nubel for two seasons, the German Champions may have to sign a temporary backup for Neuer. Meanwhile, Christian Fruchtl may go out on loan, while Ron-Thorben Hoffman is expected to leave in summer.
