Bayern Munich players will always be subject to interest from the top clubs across Europe due to their immense quality. With only a few games left in this season, rumours surrounding Die Roten players have started intensifying in the media. Kingsley Coman is one of the key Bayern players that will be admired by various European clubs.
According to The Guardian, Manchester United remains interested in signing Coman. However, the French winger is the second-choice target behind Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho. As of now, this report does suggest that there is tentative interest in Coman from United.
This is not the first time the Red Devils have been linked with a move for the French winger. At the start of last summer’s transfer window, the English media had reported that Coman was one of United’s targets as they were looking to add a wide player to the squad. Eventually, the interest never materialised into a formal offer.
The French winger is one of the key players for the German club. Despite injury issues earlier in his career, Coman has kicked on in the last 18 months. Moreover, Coman is still 24, so his best is yet to come.

Even though Rekordmeister is not keen on parting ways with Coman this summer, they do face tricky contract negotiations for a contract extension. The French winger has reportedly rejected the first offer made by the club. The German club does have time on their hands as Coman’s current deal is set to expire in 2023.
Die Roten has lost a couple of players due to a lack of agreement between two parties on new deals. Thiago Alcantara was sold to Liverpool last summer after he rejected a new deal, while the club decided against meeting David Alaba’s wages. The Austrian defender will be leaving the club once his contract expires in June.
The German champions will not bow down to astronomical wages but keeping hold of Coman is crucial. In the last 18 months, Kingsley Coman has matured as a player and found more consistency in his performances. He has shown tremendous improvement in his decision-making in the final third.
Since Die Roten has other areas to address, even a big fee might not force them to part ways with Coman in summer. The Frenchman also looks happy in Bavaria, so it will be a big surprise if a transfer happens in summer. Kingsley Coman will be looking to take his game to the next level under Julian Nagelsmann.
