After Hansi Flick confirmed his wish to leave Bayern Munich last weekend, there was bound to be some interest from different clubs across Europe. Even though he has not been a manager at the top level for numerous seasons, Flick has shown in the last 18 months that he can deliver big trophies and handle pressure at a big club.

According to SportBild, Juventus is showing interest in Flick ahead of next season. The Italian giant is going to miss out on the Serie A title to Inter Milan this season after almost a decade of dominance. Head coach Andrea Pirlo is likely to be under pressure at the end of the season since Juventus has not done well in Serie A and Champions League.

This report also confirms that there is interest from England. At the moment, the only high-profile job that will be available in the Premier League is at Tottenham Hotspurs. The North London club sacked Jose Mourinho this week. It will be intriguing to see if they approach Flick in summer.

Despite this report, it is going to be a huge surprise if Flick managed another club next season. He has been heavily linked with the head coach role at the German National team. Flick has previously worked with DFB, so he is the ideal candidate for them.

More from Bayern Strikes

The last 18 months have seen Flick’s reputation increase by tenfold. He joined the backroom staff of Niko Kovac in 2019. The Croatian manager eventually left the club midway through the 2019/20 season due to inconsistent performance. Flick was given the role of a caretaker role. In a matter of months, Flick went from interim manager to permanent head coach of Die Roten.

Results on the pitch were getting better with every passing week. He made sure that Rekordmeister maintained domestic dominance by retaining the Bundesliga title and DFB Pokal. The most important achievement for Flick came in July when he helped Die Roten to bring back the Champions League title to Allianz Arena after seven years.

Flick’s tenure got better with every passing month as Bayern became the second European club to win a sextuple. However, there have been cracks behind the scenes as Flick and Hasan Salihamidzic have not been on the same page regarding transfers.

Rekordmeister has insisted that they will be holding talks with Hansi Flick to resolve this situation after the game against Mainz this weekend. It is a shame the way Flick’s tenure is coming to an end, but the Bavarian faithful will always fondly remember his time at the club.
