Bayern Munich intensify interest in Eduardo Camavinga
After getting knocked out of the Champions League last week, Bayern Munich will be looking to start working on summer transfer plans to come back stronger next season. The German Champions have been consistently linked with the midfielder. The recent update from France suggests that Eduardo Camavinga could be the player to bolster the midfield at Die Roten.
According to France Football, Bayern has intensified interest in Rennes midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. This report insists that Rekordmeister is eager to beat Real Madrid for the young midfielder’s signature and complete the transfer in the coming weeks.
Rennes is likely to be under pressure to sign Camavinga in the upcoming window since his contract expires in 2022. According to The Athletic, Camavinga has no plans to sign a contract extension at the French club. If he doesn’t sign a new deal, then Rennes has no other option than cashing in for him rather than losing him for nothing.
Camavinga is considered one of the best young midfield talents in the world. The 18-year-old midfielder has shone for Rennes in Ligue 1 and Champions League. Courtesy of his good performances, he has already made his debut for the French national team.

The young midfield sensation primarily operates as a box-to-box midfielder for Rennes. However, he can also play in a deeper role to dictate the tempo of the game. Camavinga is an efficient dribbler, and he can also physically dominate the opposition. The youngster’s immaculate passing range can help in breaking down the rigid defense.
Camavinga has shown maturity beyond his age for Rennes in the past couple of seasons. Die Roten could be getting a remarkable player that could form the spine of the team in the present and future of the team. Moreover, they could get him for a decent price, so it is a no-brainer for Rekordmeister to intensify interest in him two months before the start of the summer transfer window.
Bayern currently has two top-class midfield options in Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka. Corentin Tolisso had blown hot and cold since his serious knee injury two years ago. Marc Roca is going through the adaptation process in Bavaria, so adding another midfield option will give Die Roten much-needed depth in this position.
Camavinga will be chased by numerous top football clubs during the summer. Getting a head start over them would benefit Die Roten in the long run. They have not enjoyed good fortune with the latest young midfield signings for Mickael Cuisance and Renato Sanches, but Eduardo Camavinga is too good a talent to miss out.
