Bayern Munich: Predicted Starting XI for away trip to Wolfsburg
Midfield and attack combination for Bayern Munich
Joshua Kimmich is likely to start in the number six role against Wolfsburg. The German midfielder started in this position against Union Berlin. He was not joining attacks and just screening the back four since Flick was deploying two number tens ahead of him. Kimmich is likely to have the same role on Saturday since Goretzka is ruled out due to injury.
Jamal Musiala will be partnering Kimmich in the center of the park on Saturday. The teenager was impressive last weekend as he played on the right side of the attack but often wandered in central areas. He ended up scoring a vital goal, but it was only enough for Rekordmeister to get one point from that game.
Thomas Muller is enjoying yet another productive season in the number ten role. He was also very good against PSG in the midweek game but didn’t have a goal and assist to back his performance. The German forward will try to keep his good Bundesliga run by getting on the scoresheet against Wolfsburg.
Leroy Sane looked lively against PSG on Tuesday, but his decision-making often let him down. The German winger will start on Saturday as Flick has very few options in the attack right now. Kingsley Coman will play on the other flank, while Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will lead the line.
