Bayern Munich interested in signing Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
Bayern Munich has been heavily linked with multiple wingers in the last two weeks. It is not a priority position for Die Roten in summer, but the departure of Douglas Costa does open up space in the squad. The Brazilian winger will be returning to Juventus after an unsuccessful loan spell in Bavaria.
The latest forward to be linked with Rekordmeister is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. According to Express.DE (via football24news), Bayern is interested in Rubin Kazan winger Kvaratskhelia. The Georgian forward’s agent had been recently tipped by his agent to play for Die Roten or Real Madrid in the near future.
The 20-year-old forward is enjoying a very productive season for Rubin Kazan. In the Russian Premier League, Kvaratskhelia has been involved in seven goals across 20 appearances. He has thrice managed to find the back of the net, while four times set up the goal for his teammates. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
Die Roten has made a habit of signing young players from different parts of the world. Some of these players have been added to youth teams, while few have gone into the first team. Alphonso Davies and Jamal Musiala are prime examples of younger players making a big impact after coming in the first team.

As of now, links with Kvaratskhelia do look premature. Until and unless more links appear in the German media about this transfer, this rumour could be taken with a pinch of salt. However, a left-field signing like this would be exciting since the Georgian forward has impressed in Russia.
The German Champions improved their attacking options by signing Leroy Sane from Manchester City. Die Roten was desperate to add one more player after a move to secure the permanent signing of Ivan Perisic collapsed. They tried to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi, but Chelsea didn’t accept their bids.
Rekordmeister eventually settled for a loan deal for Costa. The Brazilian winger has struggled to impress in the limited game time he got this season. However, the emergence of Jamal Musiala has given another attacking option to Hansi Flick. Moreover, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is also likely to stay for one more season, so he can also fill in wide positions.
Kvaratskhelia could be a long-term signing, but it is unlikely to be the first team signing for Die Roten next season if these reports are true. Maybe, Die Roten loan him back to Kazan to see him get more playing time. At the moment, it does look like a random rumour, but one to keep an eye on since Bayern has been making left-field signings.
