Bayern Munich continued to cruise in the Bundesliga as they clinched the fourth win in a row on Saturday. The performance in 4-0 victory against VfB Stuttgart was indeed special as Rekordmeister delivered this performance with ten men after Alphonso Davies was sent off early in the game.

Manager Rating

Hansi Flick — 7.5/10

Hansi Flick made the right decision in terms of team selection. The German manager tweaked the shape brilliantly after Davies was sent off. He could have made substitutions early in the second half to have some fresh legs while defending against Stuttgart.

Player Ratings

GK, Manuel Neuer — 7/10

Neuer made some crucial saves against Stuttgart. He commanded the box brilliantly when Stuttgart was looking to threaten on the set-pieces. Neuer was not made to work a lot of Stuttgart, but his solid shot-stopping and sweeping helped the team to keep the clean sheet.

DEF, Benjamin Pavard — 7/10

Pavard continues to get better with every passing game. He is finally finding the rhythm to his game that was missing in the first half of the season. The Frenchman defended resolutely and supported the attack whenever they were trying to hurt Stuttgart on the break.

DEF, Niklas Sule — 7/10

Sule complimented Boateng perfectly in this game. Both center-back defended spaces really well when Stuttgart was trying to dominate the game. His passing at times was poor, but overall, it was another solid display from the German international.

DEF, Jerome Boateng — 8/10

Boateng marshalled the back four brilliantly after Davies was sent off. He never pushed too high to leave himself vulnerable to the pace of Stuttgart’s forwards and wing-backs. The German defender was also street-smart in terms of committing fouls to halt momentum for the visiting side.

DEF, Alphonso Davies — 4/10

A torrid afternoon for the young full-back that lasted only for 11 minutes. Davies mistimed a challenge on Wataru Endo that eventually led to his dismissal early in the game.
