Bayern Munich will be tested by Stuttgart’s attacking talent
By Daniel Garza
Bayern Munich will host Stuttgart on Matchday 26 and the visitors will feature two of the Bundesliga’s top attacking talents. Silas Wamangituka and Sasa Kalajdzic have been leading the way for their club in terms of scoring goals and are a big reason why the newly promoted club is still in the hunt for the Europa League places.
Both of these players are under the age of 24 and have emerged as reported transfer targets of big-name clubs in Europe. They should test Bayern defensively on Saturday as they look to upset the top club in the Bundesliga.
Kalajdzic can’t stop scoring
It’s been an incredible display of goal-scoring form from Kalajdzic in recent weeks. The 23-year-old striker has scored seven goals in his last six Bundesliga appearances and is climbing the standings in the league’s top scorer rankings. He has had a big impact on results for Stuttgart this season as they have recorded at least a point from nine of the 11 matches he’s scored in.
Kalajdzic only played 15 minutes against Bayern when the clubs first met this season in November. He entered in the second half as a substitute and registered one shot. This time around, it’s very likely he will be in Stuttgart’s starting 11.
When he’s on the pitch, Bayern will have to ensure they mark him on corner kicks, set-piece free kicks, and crosses from open play. He is very much an aerial threat and has scored from headers on multiple occasions this season.

Stuttgart’s speedy winger
It’s been an impressive first season in the Bundesliga for Wamangituka. The 21-year-old winger has won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month award three times this season. He has proven to be an attacking threat for Stuttgart as he has scored 11 goals and registered four assists in 24 appearances.
One of his greatest strengths is his speed. Wamangituka has registered a top ten sprint speed in the Bundesliga this season. He registered an assist against Bayern in their first meeting this season and Wamangituka has the potential to cause more problems for the host’s defense on Saturday.
One of the best duos in the Bundesliga
Wamangituka and Kalajdzic have been one of the top attacking duos in the German top flight this season. They have combined for 24 goals which currently ranks third in the Bundesliga in terms of attacking duos.
On Saturday, they will be facing the top attacking duo which is Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller. It will be an interesting storyline to watch as the two emerging stars face off against the veteran duo.
