Bayern Munich will face Borussia Dortmund on Saturday for another edition of Der Klassiker. As usual, the match is a highly anticipated meeting between two of the Bundesliga’s most high-profile clubs.

With Dortmund beginning to refind their winning ways in the German top flight, they have multiple players entering this fixture in very good form. Here are three opposing players Bayern will be tested by on Saturday.

Jadon Sancho

After scoring just two Bundesliga goals during the first half of the season, Sancho has begun to refind his goal-scoring form in recent weeks. The 20-year-old England international has scored four goals and registered four assists in his last six Bundesliga appearances.

Sancho enters this match against Bayern in arguably much better form than he did the first time the two clubs met this season in the Bundesliga. He scored the match-winning goal in mid-week action to send Dortmund to the DFB-Pokal semifinals and will certainly be one to watch for on Saturday.

More from Bayern Strikes

Erling Braut Haaland

The impressive 20-year-old striker is the club’s best offensive player and his goal-scoring ability has continued to result in victories for Dortmund. One of the highlights of his season occurred just a few weeks ago when he scored an incredible goal against Schalke in a 4-0 victory for Dortmund. This goal showcased his ability to score in the penalty area and was a testament to how prolific he can be.

With Bayern’s backline conceding goals at a much higher rate this season, Haaland will be testing the defense all match long. Haaland scored against Bayern in their first meeting of the Bundesliga season on Matchday Seven as well as in the German Supercup Final.

Haaland was also impressive during the Champions League away game against Sevilla. The Norwegian will be looking to score once more against the defending champions on Saturday as he looks to be involved in his first Der Klassiker victory.

Raphael Guerreiro

Guerreiro’s passing ability could cause problems for Bayern if he is able to replicate his performance from the November match. Dortmund’s left-back was the source of both of his club’s goals when the two sides met in the fall. He played a brilliant pass over the top to Haaland for Dortmund’s second goal which was a representation of the quality the 27-year-old possesses.

Next. Three things to watch out for Bayern in March. dark

Guerreiro is a player who has been helping to lead the way alongside Sancho when it comes to goal and shot creation this season. He currently ranks second on the team when it comes to goal and shot-creating actions in the Bundesliga. In the league as a whole, he ranks among the top 10 in key passes and goal-creating actions.
